I’m a passionate writer and traveller. Having graduated from university a couple of years ago I seized the opportunity to go on a grad trip, my first real, big trip: New Zealand. It was the trip of a lifetime. More in a later post. That trip opened my eyes to the cultural experiences waiting to be had – for those who are willing, and able, to travel – and for others who are content with exploring locally.  I love images – freehand drawing, painting, taking pictures, looking at other peoples’ pictures or graphics – because they are so expressive. Juxtapositions, metaphors, similes are affective literary tools that can be just as affective (if not more, in my opinion) when used in photographic composition. Pictures that tell a story or about an experience that I can reflect on in the future, that is what I look for in my journeys from place to place.
